Corrosion Commentary

Abstract

Aluminium/Zinc coatings. An alternative coating to that provided by conventional zinc is the subject of a new British Standard which should be of particular benefit to the steel, engineering and building industries. The products specified in the standard are obtained by applying hot‐dip aluminium/ zinc alloy coatings to cold rolled carbon steel flat rolled products in forming and structural grades. The aluminium/zinc alloy is nominally 55% aluminium.
