Special helically wound pipes for Cairo wastewater scheme

Abstract

The £1,000 million Phase 1 of the Greater Cairo Wastewater Scheme has been instrumental in bringing forward many innovative ideas. Among them has been the use of the Helix process for the production of special pipe sections of up to six feet diameter for the discharge openings into the main sewer.
