Abstract

Major producer in Japan. After signing the agreement, Kawatetsu Galvanizing president, Keiichi Komoda, announced that his company plans to convert one of its four coating lines to the production of Galvalume in early 1990, and that initial output will be marketed to the Japanese construction industry. Kawatetsu Galvanizing is one of the major producers of hot‐dip galvanized steel in Japan and operates three coating plants with a capacity of more than a half‐million metric tons of steel annually.
