What Ever Happened to the Home Library?

Abstract

There is nothing like having your own books and magazines about the house; in fact some depend more upon their own collection than the one found in the library. The preference may be explained in numerous ways, but essentially it's a matter of convenience. No matter how eccentric one's cataloging and shelving, it is easier to find one's own book than bundling up for a trip to the library. The personal library is never closed. There is no dependence upon an overly solicitous or a sulky librarian. The selection policy may be as erratic as your personality.
