Abstract

Regular readers of this column will know that I've often touted Reflex (by Borland International), calling it an excellent choice for those wanting the number crunching capabilities of a spreadsheet and the data handling capabilities of a database manager. I liked it because it was cheap (normally available at discount for about $100), fast (all data are held in RAM), and did cross‐tabulations—something not featured on programs of this price. There were lots of other things I liked as well, including its ease of use by beginners and occasional users.
