Using liability insurance to manage risk

Abstract

Librarians face considerable liability exposure, especially from employment actions, simple personal injury negligence actions, and from perceived violations of constitutional rights. Explains why and how liability insurance can be used in managing such risk, when liability insurance is needed, and compares four sample policies.
