Abstract

In the last issue two views of the steel strip works of the Sandvikens Jernverks Aktiebolag of Sweden were given and reference was made to an English booklet on this firm's products, distributed by the Sandvik British Agency, Ltd., of Norwich Union Chambers, Congreve Street, Birmingham. They now send two further booklets. One of them, entitled “Sandvik Constructional Steels” deals with plain carbon and various qualities of nickel steels for case, oil or air hardening which conform to British Standard Specifications. The second booklet deals specifically with steels for aircraft construction. These comprise both cold rolled strip and hollow blooms for seamless tube drawing.
