Abstract

In accordance with current airworthiness approval procedure for such instruments and equipment as are covered by Civil Specifications, duly authorised firms give a “certificate of compliance” guaranteeing that the Type instrument or item of equipment complies with the relevant Civil Specification. No certificate of compliance is needed for Subsequent items, Subsequent items being defined as items made to the same drawings and by the same workshop processes as the Type item.
