The Velocity of Down Gusts: A Plea for the Collection of Precise Data

Abstract

IN an article in this issue, Mr. Crowe raises the question of the adequacy of the present British strength requirements for cases of up‐and‐down gusts and puts forward a plea for a modification so that the lightly‐loaded condition of the aeroplane should be specifically catered for.
