Combined Stresses: Working Charts for Combined Stress Factors and Selection of Suitable Members

Abstract

In all drawing offices “labour‐saving” methods of making approximate preliminary calculations are in use. Here the author renders useful service in throwing open to others charts he has himself developed for rapid selection of appropriate sizes of tubes and bolts, etc., for components and fittings.
