The Aerodynamics of Hulls: A Comparatively Untouched Subject that has Recently been Investigated

Abstract

A GOOD deal of information has gradually been accumulated on the planing and seaworthiness characteristics of various shapes of flying‐boat hulls. Reasonably precise data on the effect of alterations in the shape and position of steps, of various angles of vee bottom and size of chines is available.
