Abstract

THE discerning reader will observe a change in the make‐up of this month's issue, the principal item in which is the disappear‐ance of the separate Production and Maintenance Section. It may be recalled that this feature was originally introduced in AIR‐CRAFT ENGINEERING—under the title Workshop and Production Section—in our issue of November, 1932, and appeared regularly each month until December, 1933, after which it was suspended until it was revived in October, 1938. It continued to appear with that title until August, 1945, when the heading was changed to incorporate a reference to the maintenance aspect which seemed to us to become of significant import with the advent of peace and the consequent reintroduction of civil aircraft operations.
