Abstract

THE cross‐flow type of heat exchanger is used extensively on aircraft in the form of ‘coolers’, e.g. for air conditioning systems, engine oil coolers, etc., and in the form of ‘heaters’ operated by engine exhaust gas, for cabin air heating and for hot air anti‐icing systems.
