Abstract

DURING the last month the troubled air that accompanies the progress of British aviation reverberated again to the dignified but demanding voices of the Royal Aero Club, the Association of British Commerce and the British Gliding Association. As if the Government were not beset by sufficient problems relating to aeronautics these three voices have been raised in support of light aviation, commercial air transport and gliding to add to the growing clamour for action regarding a supersonic airliner, a space programme, aircraft noise and the choice of a suitable means of delivering the deterrent.
