Abstract

ON October 15, H.R.H. The Duke of Edinburgh officially opened the new £26,000,000 English Steel Corporation works at Tinsley Park, Sheffield, This new plant—which is claimed to be the most advanced in Europe for the production of special engineering steels—will be capable of producing up to 385,000 tons of billets a year with ample provision for future expansion.
