Abstract

THIS month the spotlight falls on production techniques. In particular we publish an article detailing the contribution which a number of British companies—High Duty Alloys Ltd., Fielding and Piatt Ltd., Cramic Engineering Co. Ltd. and Ferranti Ltd.—are making towards the production of the Concord airliner in France. Apart from the encouragement which this notable feat of international co‐operation and export sales must give to the rest of British industry, there emerges a clear message concerning the growing importance of numerically‐controlled machine tools.
