Abstract

A Selection of Equipment of Use in the Production and Maintenance of Aircraft, Missiles, Space Vehicles and their Components. A range of ‘throw away’ carbide tip turning tools on which the tip can be unlocked, indexed and put back into operation in a matter of seconds, has been introduced by Marwin (Anstey) Ltd., Anstey, Leicester. This can be compared with an operator using a conventional turning tool, who can, in some cases, take up to half an hour to unlock, regrind and put back into operation. The Maxeturn range consists of four types—½ in. square and ½ in. inscribed circle triangular tips and 1 in. and ¾ in. square high tensile shanks—giving a total of sixteen variables.
