Abstract

The establishment of a direct data link between the computer centres of Bristol Siddeley at Patchway, Bristol, and S.N.E.C.M.A. at Suresnes, Paris, marks a new and important step forward in Anglo‐French co‐operation in the aviation field. Bristol Siddeley and S.N.E.C.M.A., partners in the development of the Olympus 593 engines for the Anglo‐French Concorde supersonic thirliner, will employ the link for rapid exchange of engine test data and computed results.
