Abstract

A RECENT address by Mr O. B. St. John, Superintendent of the R.A.E. Blind Landing Experimental Unit, Bedford, emphasised the necessity for the introduction of all weather landing techniques in the near future. A related problem was the need to improve the precision of air traffic control during the approach phase while also making the approach path itself more flexible.
