Abstract

Details of Some Components Used for Subsidiary Services in Aircraft, Missiles and Space Vehicles. The Wallace & Tiernan BA.033 Pitot Static Test Trolley has reduced test time to a minimum. Five feet long and manoeuvrable by one man, it is a completely self‐contained unit operating from most standard electrical supplies and can therefore be taken to the service parking location of the aircraft. Basically, the main body of the unit contains the air compressor, vacuum pump, air and vacuum receivers, together with the associated safety devices and other ancillary equipment. All the controls and measuring instruments are mounted on the top panel, immediately available under the top lid and the trolley is operated from this position. Deliberately, the equipment has been kept simple so that maintenance can be carried out where only the minimum of servicing facilities are available.
