Abstract

CURRENT simulator systems are obviously far from reality, yet even so, such systems are enabling approximately 80 per cent of the flying time associated with transition training to be carried out in the simulator. Obviously future developments in the field of simulation and in particular in the field of visual simulation must be aimed at the ultimate goal of achieving ‘total simulation’. That is, all flying training carried out in a simulator.
