Abstract

The stand of the Procurement Executive, Ministry of Defence, showed experiments being conducted by the Royal Radar Establishment to provide air traffic controllers with more precise information on aircraft, so as to ensure acceptable levels of flight safety in the increased traffic densities of the future. This suggests a mega‐bit‐rate two‐way data link for feeding air derived data to ATC data processing computers.
