Abstract

Willard F. Rockwell Jnr, who declared at the Paris Air Show the interest of Rockwell International in the stretched version of Concorde, was asked what form he thought the co‐operation could assume. He said it might be through the introduction of a swing wing. The know‐how his company has already acquired from the F 111 would, he feels, make the swing wing a more economic approach compared with continuing the present, extremely complicated and precise wing contour.
