Abstract

The Petrochemicals Division of ICI at Billingham, Cleveland, has solved a major problem facing the Trustees and management of the Shuttleworth Collection of historic aeroplanes, based at Old Warden Aerodrome, near Biggleswade in Bedfordshire by offering to supply 1100 gallons of 73 Octane unleaded fuel. As these valuable veteran aeroplanes fly only rarely for educational and demonstration purposes, this supply is likely to be sufficient for nearly two years of operations.
