Abstract

Available with and without thrust augmentation by afterburning, the Adour turbofan was first produced for the Anglo‐French Sepecat Jaguar. For this aircraft, the engine entered service in 1972 as the Mk 102 with a dry thrust of 5,115 lb which is increased to 7,305 lb when reheated. A non‐afterburning version of the Adour known as the Mk 151 is produced for the British Aerospace Hawk, and this began RAF service in 1976 with a thrust rating of 5,200 lb. The engine is also in service with the Japanese T‐2 trainer and F‐1 fighter as the Mk 801A, which has the same thrust ratings as the Mk 102.
