Fuel Economy in the Airlines

Abstract

All aspects of fuel economy are currently of great interest and a conference to discuss the interests involved was organised recently by ‘Flight International’ and held in the Lecture Theatre of the Royal Aeronautical Society. Some of the papers are summarised here and the authors of these and their affiliations indicate how wide are the disciplines in which fuel savings can be achieved.
