Airship Technology

Abstract

The main work in the development of airships was done half a century and more ago—yet the potential of airships with improved modern materials and techniques is enormous. Even forty years ago Zeppelins were crossing the oceans to timetables, operating from mooring masts and capable of surviving gales of over 80 mph.
