Abstract

One of the most powerful weapons in the NATO armoury, the Anglo‐German‐Italian Tornado multi‐role combat aircraft, relies for certain critical functions on cemented carbide balls. These are manufactured by Spheric Engineering Ltd., Crawley, West Sussex, from sintered blanks supplied by Wimet Wear Parts Ltd., Coventry.
