Abstract

A new Management Report published by FT Business Information Titanium is a relative newcomer to the metals industry: it was not manufactured on a commercial scale anywhere in the world until the early 1950s. Because of its lightness and strength, high melting point (1,668°C) and excellent corrosion resistance, demand for titanium metal has weathered the recession better than most other metals.
