Abstract

The detection of surface breaking defects in ferromagnetic components using magnetic particle crack detection methods is one of the most versatile, effective and sensitive methods of non‐destructive testing. Magnetic particle inspection is used for testing welds, wrought products, forgings and castings and for the inspection of aerospace, pipeline, undersea, power and general engineering applications.d
