Abstract

THE EAP development programme carried out jointly by British Aerospace and its industrial partners will fly an agile fighter aircraft in 1986, demonstrating the benefits of new technologies in materials and controls. The wings of the aircraft, which were jointly developed by British Aerospace and Aeritalia, include a carbon fibre co‐bonded torsion box. This will almost certainly be the first primary CFC bonded wing structure to fly.
