Twin Pallets Increase Subcontract Machining Efficiency

Abstract

‘JUST‐IN‐TIME’ production management within large companies places a tremendous burden on subcontract manufacturers to deliver specified quantities at very short notice. At one highly successful subcontractor, JFB Engineering Company Ltd, Leighton Buzzard, the installation of five Yamazaki twin‐pallet VQC vertical machining centres over the past two years has provided the flexibility required to satisfy customer requirements.
