Abstract

THE object of this gathering was to provide a venue for discussion of rotating wing topics and to show the products and services associated with them in a similar way to exhibitions organized in the USA. This year's event took place at Redhill aerodrome and attracted substantial support from industry and users with over 140 stands from exhibitors in seven countries. It was possible to appreciate the range of tasks that helicopters can undertake; filming, crop spraying, fire fighting, police work, search and rescue, personal transport, ambulance, heavy lifting and so on. In addition, there are all the military uses, but of course, helicopters from the armed services may be called upon to perform some of these tasks anyway.
