Abstract

MBB Transport Aircraft Group began preliminary design of the MPC 75 aircraft at the beginning of this year. The MPC 75 is an advanced technology 80‐passenger airliner to be equipped with propfan engines. MBB is developing and building this aircraft in cooperation with China's National Aero Technology Import and Export Corporation (CATIC). Negotiations are currently under way with other partners. The MPC 75 is a short/medium‐haul airliner to be brought to the international market in the mid‐nineties. The aircraft's advanced technology will be fully valid for more than 20 years.
