Abstract

WITH the revised third edition of CAP 371 in preparation, it was highly appropriate for a conference on Flight Time Limitations to be held at the Royal Aeronautical Society. It became evident during the proceedings that at least three differing environments have to be considered when trying to formulate a scheme to prevent fatigue in pilots. The long haul scene, inclusive tour operations and offshore helicopters all have their own particular problems while general aviation or executive duty hours may not be suitable for any of them.
