Abstract
RAF Third‐line maintenance depot, UK Maintenance strategies for military electronics equipment are changing fast. Defence organisations are now, almost universally, looking for ‘general‐purpose’ ATE solutions, rather than the special‐to‐type testers often purchased with past projects. This approach looks set to resolve the seemingly opposed driving forces of improved service at reduced costs.
