MTR390 — The Power of the Tiger

Abstract

THE first flight of the prototype Tiger took place, on schedule, on 27 April 1991 and launched the flight programme of this new twin‐engined Franco‐German anti‐tank and ground‐support helicopter. The flight, which was made at Ael test centre at Marignane in southern France, also marked a major new stage in the evolution of its engine, the tri‐national MTR390.
