Abstract
Aerospace manufacturers worldwide are under intensifying pressure from customers insisting their products become available earlier, attain higher standards of quality and cost less to buy and operate. This relentless demand is forcing manufacturers to rethink the processes they use for defining their products and to introduce some bold initiatives in an effort to stave off competitors.
