The Shallow end

Abstract

A GERIATRIC WARD was one of the things I used to try hard not to think about—some others being cancer, going mad, social engineering and the Third World. Now that I'm here in this one, I don't find it so bad. Not unbearable, anyhow, like the idea of being outside again.
