CAIRS Imaging System

Abstract

The library and text retrieval systems from the Leatherhead Food RA are well known throughout the UK, being installed in many special libraries. A recent addition to the CAIRS range of products is an image processing system which, when installed with TMS, integrally combines text and graphics using DTP‐type wrap around. The system, which has not yet been installed in any user sites, can also be integrated with CAIRS IMS and TMS. The article describes the main features of the system.
