MARCo from Data Trek

Abstract

To complement their long standing Manager Series, Data Trek have developed a MARC based system for the medium sized library. As well as offering the normal functionality expected of a mature system there is a GUI OPAC allowing users access to full search capabilities, including Boolean searching, using mouse control only. The system will run on a range of hardware platforms under DOS and UNIX and can be networked. This article describes the functionality of the system which is known as the Professional Series in the UK and MARCo elsewhere.
