Electronic public information: an overview and checklist for EPI managers
Abstract
The word ‘system’ is one which has insinuated itself into our language during the past decade: we have hi‐fi systems, teeth cleaning systems, lighting systems and, as recently witnessed in a kitchen supplies shop, sets of nested saucepans described as ‘cookware systems’. Invariably the word system is used to describe an object of technology, but this is often a gross misrepresentation of its definition as ‘a set of connected things or parts that form a whole or work together’.
