Abstract

Following what must be the longest infancy period for any coating material, powder coatings have at last taken off and are growing into that major market first prophesied for the mid‐sixties and then early seventies. For example, the UK market for thermoset coating powders—will grow by between 25 and 28% in volume this year compared with last. At current prices this places a value of around £4.8m on the UK coating powders market.
