Abstract

When aluminium silicate P 820 is used to replace titanium dioxide or other white pigments in emulsion paints — for example paints based on polyvinyl acetate, polyvinyl propionate, as well as polyacrylate and copolymer emulsions — the whiteness value of the paints is increased in all cases. In most cases the opacity of the paints is also improved.
