Abstract

Scope: For the purpose of this exercise let us adopt the lead sentence from the NCCA technical bulletin and extend it to incorporate correlation. Thus our scope might read: The purpose of this programme is to evaluate the accelerated weathering devices which are being used in the coil coatings industry and to determine if correlation exists between test results obtained from the devices evaluated and outdoor exposures in Florida. If correlation does exist, is it considered sufficiently reliable to establish a confidence level by which service life may be predicted for the performance criteria examined.
