Automatic air electrostatics give ‘trouble‐free spray’ at Thorn Heating

Abstract

Thorn Heating Ltd have been using twelve automatic Kontour electrostatic spraying units from Kremlin Spray Painting Equipment Ltd at their Team Valley, Gateshead, factory over the past nine months for applying a polyester primer to their single and double radiators. According to Mr Alan Cleghorn, Senior Production Engineer, during that period they have been ‘extremely trouble‐free in operation, with very few rejects on painting quality’.
