Sandoz 1886 – 1986: A century of radical change

Abstract

This year Sandoz AG of Basle, one of the world's leading suppliers of pigments and resins to the coatings industry, celebrated its cetenary. Below we publish a short history of this company's growth from humble beginnings in a century that could be a millenium away. It would be easy to add a quick pun on the unfortunate accident that led to the poisoning of the Rhine last month. However, that would only deter from what is still a centenary of success, and we are sure that Sandoz will take every step to prevent such a disaster ever happening again.
