A union catalogue on CD‐ROM for the scientific community in Milan

Abstract

In this article the method of construction of the union catalogue system on CD‐ROM for scientific libraries in Milan is described. The characteristics of the system and the reasons for its creation are presented and a normal work session is also illustrated. The first release has already been mastered and has been distributed to all the libraries participating in the project for test evaluation. The results will provide the basis for the second release and definitive version.
