Abstract

Activity in the microcomputer hardware field is going to make it even more difficult to choose which products to buy for library and personal use. In September, Osborne Computer Corporation, pioneer of the portable computer market, filed under Chapter 11. Industry analysts suggest that it may simply be the first of several companies to do so over the next few years. Implications for servicing products and obtaining upgraded programs are great.
