Abstract

The automation and networking of libraries in Delaware is moving rapidly. In 1991, Delaware conducted county‐ and state‐based pre‐conferences to the White House Conference on Library and Information Services. Following the White House Conference, the Delaware library community held a statewide planning conference, which produced “An Action Agenda for Delaware Libraries,” 15 concise resolutions to substantially improve Delaware libraries by the year 2000. The automation and networking of libraries was the Action Agenda's top priority.
